MUST Read BOOK .... "BOOTS ON THE GROUND BY DUSK" (By Mary Tillman)
Back to Full Blog

ALL: I just saw Mary Tillman, the mother of Pat Tillman, on the Larry King show.

Pat, as most know, was an NFL football star with the Arizona Cardinals who left his MILLION dollar salaries for the SERVICE of his country.

He later DIED in Afghanistan. Which was reported, at first, by OUR administration as one thing and then it later turned out MUCH of the 'details' about HOW Pat Tillman died and WHO killed him and WHO LIED about it all throughout this entire saga, continue to this day.

According still, to Mary Tillman. His mother. Btw: She has another son, who also served alongside his brother, Pat. This son testified before a Congressional committee about his ANGER and DISAPPOINTMENT about all the FALSE information OUR government officials had, were and ARE still saying and not coming CLEAN about.

This brother said before congress it was SAD enough that his brother DIED, but he was a soldier and he accepted that. But, he also said, that the MANNER and the LIES to this day, in HOW his death and it's details and lies, were HORRIFIC, in HIS words, by comparison.

READ UP, dear citizens!

~SIGH~ .... GRRRRrrrrrr ....

'SALUTE!' to you and your family, PAT Tillman!

From one APPRECIATIVE citizen ....

I can't blame his mom looking into it all, being killed by friendly fire is a sad fact of war, decisions are made too rapidly.

TallPockets:

The whole war was begun based on a lie, so what can we expect from this administration?

WHISPEREDPROMISE: HELLO & THANKS for making it over my way. MUCH appreciated and WELCOME!

Pat's MOM and his BROTHER(who also served with him) ACCEPT that FRIENDLY FIRE does happen. Tragic as it is.

What EACH/BOTH of them are ANGRY about, is that the FACTS of his death were and STILL are not all fully told. They've BOTH been LIED to, according to BOTH of THEM, REPEATEDLY.

Mrs. Tillman even said that they "BURNED" Pat's UNIFORM, which is RARELY ever done!

In fact, she said that the MEDICAL EXAMINERS who, by MILITARY CODE/LAW MUST be sent dead soldier's bodies in these instances so they can ASCERTAIN just HOW said soldier DIED and review it for future preventions, etc. to OTHER soldiers, did NOT have such uniform to evaluate all he NEEDED and was REQUIRED to do.

It's not just about a MOTHER losing her son. She is a stand up lady. She KNOWS and KNEW what MIGHT happen to her sons. She makes NO bones about what MIGHT happen.

Again, HER main theme is the HOW of what was done, WHY it was told DIFFERENTLY MANY times, WHY NO ONE has been DISCIPLINED for it and that she and her other son have STILL NOT been given an ANSWER by ANYONE in the HIGHER UPS after ALL these YEARS!

SHAMEFUL, to THIS dumb old citizen, Whispered Promise. SHAMEFUL BEYOND SHAMEFUL, I say!!

GRRR ....

BLESSINGS to you and yours, kind soul.

Sorry for the HARSHNESS of this piece and my comments. NOT ANGRY at YOU or ANYONE posting here. ANGRY at the SITUATION that CAN EXIST within our GREAT AMERICAN and ANGRY that MORE folks are NOT ANGRY like GRUMPY, old TallPockets and SCREAMING their lungs out!!!!!!!

WHIT: HELLO & THANKS for dropping my way. MUCH appreciated, as always.

There is an old saying, dear whit, "HONOR AMONG THIEVES".

I do NOT expect ANY particular ADMINISTRATION these days to be TRUTHFUL anymore. What's THAT say about OUR Times, my friend?? SIGH ....

I DO hope, however dear whit, that SOMEONE in either our Military itself, or CIVILIAN oversight, would come FORWARD with WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED!

For not only Mrs. Tillman and her OTHER SON who served US, but for WE, The People.

I fear GREATLY, dear whit, for OUR America. WE can BLAME the ADMINS of the day and time my friend, but once "WE" KNOW of such, it is up to "WE, the PEOPLE", to FIX the problem with said admins!!

For, once it IS KNOWN, dear whit, IGNORANCE can NO LONGER be used as an EXCUSE for WE, THE PEOPLE! SIGH. GRRR.

At THAT point dear whit, WE ARE the problem, also!! Understand, my friend?

My BEST to you and yours, my friend ....

Pockets

As a Mother - my heart grieves for his remaining family - and their not knowing what really happened to Pat. I think in every circumstance - Accountability - always goes hand in hand with honesty!

What a horrible thing to have to live with - it leaves the heart never settled because there is this "Why and Who?" - left to haunt.

Heard his mom on the Jim Rome show...

What a story....

As my (Army) dad once taught me...you go up to someone in the military and you shake their hand and say...

..."Thank you so much for your service to our country"...

God Bless them ALL.

And I pray for their return.

Michele

LOOKIN:HELLO & THANKS for your RETURN visit! MUCH appreciated, as always.

Yes, it must bear a great burden on the MOTHER and the SON. However, every time I've seen Mrs. Tillman, she's always GRACE personified.

She ACCEPTS the possible WAR results of soldiers, including HER sons.

She does NOT, can NOT and SHOULD not, EVER have to ACCEPT anything BUT the TRUTH for those who DO SERVE US with HONOR and INTEGRITY.

As her OTHER military son TESTIFIED such before CONGRESS awhile ago.

My BEST to you and yours, kind soul.

RUBBLE: HELLO & THANKS for visiting this old geezer's feeble attempt at a blog site. MUCH appreciated and WELCOME.

MY late father was an ARMY man, also. TWO stints. In Korea and in Japan. Drove Tanks.

He later was Commander of the local VFW in my hometown area for two years and helped ALL who served from ALL eras.

SADLY, kind soul, whenever there are FUNERALS in my area, what YOU so RIGHTLY mention above regarding THOSE who serve US, is RARELY done. SIGH.

I see FAMILY at such services. But FEW of the COMMUNITY. WHY, I ask? WHY? .... SIGH.

Blessings to you and yours,

TallPockets.
